Good Morning Readers! Did you ever look forward to a Saturday morning where you can wake up and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching Hallmark Channel (okay okay! You can pick your own movie)? That is me today! I am enjoying this Saturday morning and then it hit me… I forgot to write my Flirtation Friday! Then again, I was in bed and sleeping by 9:30 last night. First week of school blues!!!
I have been up in the air about my Flirtation Saturday morning pick today. So I am thinking of adding two. These two books are on my wish list and I can’t wait to get my hands on them!
First Flirtation Saturday morning pick is: Taming Him by Kennedy Fox
(Picture and Synopsis by Goodreads)
Alex Bishop is your typical cowboy.
Charming, sexy, and wears a panty-melting smirk.
Working on the ranch helped build his solid eight-pack and smoking body. He’s every girl’s wet fantasy, and he knows it too. Alex doesn’t follow the rules of your typical playboy bachelor. After wining and dining his dates and giving them the best night of their lives, he always sends flowers and calls the next day—even if it’s to say, let’s just be friends. His mama taught him manners after all, and his Southern blood knows how to be a gentleman. Still, that isn’t enough to tame the wildest of the Bishop brothers.
River Lancaster has finally met the man of her dreams. Too bad after six months of romantic bliss, she finds out he’s married. With a broken heart and blind rage, she books herself a ticket to Key West, Florida. Tired of cheaters and liars, she’s set on escaping to forget he ever existed. Who needs a man when there’s an all-you-can-drink margarita bar, anyway? That’s what she tells herself until she bumps into the right guy who can make all those bad memories disappear.
Even if it’s only temporarily.
Two weeks on the beach is what they both need. No strings attached, no expectations, no broken hearts. Too bad the universe has other plans—one that’ll change the entire course of their lives in just nine short months.
Second Flirtation Saturday morning pick is: From Here to You by Jamie McGuire
(Picture and Synopsis by Goodreads)
As Darby Dixon sits in a tiny Texas church bathroom on her wedding day holding a positive pregnancy test, she realizes that of all the bad decisions she’s made in her life, marrying her abusive fiancé would be the worst. She’s never been able to stand up for herself, but she’ll sure as hell stand up for her baby. With just the cash she has on hand, she runs to get a bus ticket to the farthest place she can afford. Between her sheer grit and pageant-queen smile, she lands a job as a front desk clerk at the Colorado Springs Hotel. It’s not a glamorous life, but she and her baby are all that matters.
A former Marine, Scott “Trex” Trexler has worked in the most dangerous, corrupt, war-torn places on earth. Now he finally has a chance to return to the last place he’d felt at peace–Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take a new job with the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, a top-secret military installation buried deep within the granite.
The moment Trex walks into the inn, Darby knows he’s dangerous. There’s no way she wants to get involved with another man who seems to be keeping way too many secrets. As charming and devastatingly gorgeous as Trex is, he clearly isn’t telling her everything. But as wildfires rage on the mountain and Darby’s ex-fiancé shows he isn’t so willing to let her go, both she and Trex are soon to find out that what you don’t know absolutely can hurt you.
I hope everyone is enjoying their Labor Day weekend. I never EVER look forward to Fall because then comes snow. And I hate snow!! However, I am looking forward to Fall, pumpkin patch, and cool nights. Can you believe that summer is over?
I am going to take on another reading challenge. If you are interested please comment below. Over the summer, I had a list of books I was going to read. However, some other book grabbed my attention. I am going to create a list of books to read till Christmas. That gives us three months. My list might be twenty books or so but I will add to it if I finish those twenty. Who wants to take on the Fall challenge with me? One thing I would love is if you are reading one of your book challenges, send me a picture in my e-mail so I can upload it to my blog. If you have any questions, please e-mail me or message me on:
