Cruel Prince and Grip

What a relaxing Friday night. Eric is out the Farm with the guys getting ready to go hunting in the morning. And me… well I am reading, writing this blog, and watching a Hallmark movie in my comfortable pajamas. Happy to have Fall and hunting season. This girl needs some CuddleMeBooks time.

As promised, I am going to deliver two books that are on my TBR list.

First will be Cruel Prince by Holly Black

Genre- Young Adult Fantasy

I am so excited to share this book because I have heard so many great things about it. Also, I want to expand my genre selection. So I am going to try and make this my next book to read. This is also book 1 in The Folk of the Air Series. Next is The Lost Sisters, The Wicked King, and then The Queen of Nothing.

Of course I want to be like them. They’re beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.

And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.

Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.

To win a place at the Court, she must defy him–and face the consequences.

As Jude becomes more deeply embroiled in palace intrigues and deceptions, she discovers her own capacity for trickery and bloodshed. But as betrayal threatens to drown the Courts of Faerie in violence, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.

Do you think there will be some romance in this? I always try to guess what will happened in the end before I read the book. I am guessing that maybe Jude falls in love. We shall see!!!

Next book will be Flow by Kennedy Ryan.

Genre- Romance

She has recently become one of my favorite authors this summer. Her two recent books Long Shot and Block Shot are two of my new favorites. I joined her group on Facebook and everyone talks about the Grip Series. There are three books to this series- Flow, Grip, and Still. I don’t want to start this book right away because then I fall right back into the Romance genre. Plus, I have my book club party next week and I want to deliver something different than Romance. This series will be read by the end of October and I will make sure to let everyone know how it is.

In 8 years, Marlon James will be one of the brightest rising stars in the music industry.
Bristol Gray will be his tough, no-nonsense manager.
But when they first meet, she’s a college student finding her way in the world,
and he’s an artist determined to make his way in it.
From completely different worlds,
all the things that should separate them only draw them closer.
It’s a beautiful beginning, but where will the story end?

I want to let everyone know that this is a PREQUEL to Grip. It is short and then flows right into Grip. Then comes Still.

Those are my two book recommendations for you 🙂

Before I go, there are three things that I want to share with you that I have ordered. I will probably keep doing the BookWormBox till the end of the December. I wanted to try a new Book Box. I am patiently waiting for my Book Box from Totally Book Crate. I will post once I receive it to let everyone know all the fun items in it. Second, I have been seeing candles made after books. I ordered a candle from BookishAromas. It is a candle after Jared from Block Shot. Lastly, I ordered a tote and another candle from Kennedy Fox. Once I have received all these items, I will share it with you all. I am super excited!!

Back to reading Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake and Hallmark movies 🙂

Have a great weekend!
