I just love Saturday morning’s. Waking up early, making breakfast, having a cup of coffee and relaxing while reading a book or watching a good movie is my favorite kind of Saturday.
For some reason, I was having difficulty posting my blog. But it is here now and I didn’t want to waste a good one!
How is everyone’s TBR list for October? I am rocking through mine. Still working on Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I haven’t been able to sit down and read. I am hoping tomorrow I will be able to. (It is now Monday and I am still working on it. It is getting really good!)
I received Amazon gift cards for my birthday last month and I am excited to order some books. Does anyone have an book recommendations for me? Remember I love romance genre but would love to branch out to other genres. However, I will say… I am not into mystery books.
In my next blog, I think I am going to create a list of books that I want to order off of Amazon. Maybe my readers can pick the next book for me to read?
So a few blogs back, I told you that I have ordered some fun stuff and I wanted to share it with you all. I am waiting for most of the packages (not sure why it’s taking so long) but I did receive one.
I have become a Kennedy Fox fan recently. I went on to her website- http://www.kennedyfoxbooks.com and wanted to see what I could find. I didn’t want to initially buy any books but more of fun merchandise instead. I order a Kennedy Fox tote and a candle. I have been seeing these cute candles that go along with books all over my Instagram and I gave in. I had to know what it was all about. Let me tell you. The candle is very small but it is very cute! I bought the pink Kennedy Fox candle and the smell was amazing. Not only the smell but there were sprinkles on top. Don’t worry, I will upload pictures.
How pretty is this candle? And it smells AMAZING!!
It has SPRINKLES on it!!!! In love!!!!!
On to Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I am only on page 56, I think chapter 7. My first thoughts… what am I reading? It is so out of my comfort zone and I think that is why it has been taking me a while to read. It is also a book from a Fantasy genre. Next thought- I am into it. I am starting to get to the good parts of Cardan and Jude. Cardan being mean and Jude who wants to be defiant. I am still trying to understand the whole Faerie aspect of the book and how mortals live there. Also, the twists and turns of Madoc. It is a lot to take in. If you would like to join along reading this book, the synopsis is down below.
Perfect story for Halloween!
Of course I want to be like them. They’re beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.
And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.
Jude was seven when her parents were murdered and she and her two sisters were stolen away to live in the treacherous High Court of Faerie. Ten years later, Jude wants nothing more than to belong there, despite her mortality. But many of the fey despise humans. Especially Prince Cardan, the youngest and wickedest son of the High King.
To win a place at the Court, she must defy him–and face the consequences.
As Jude becomes more deeply embroiled in palace intrigues and deceptions, she discovers her own capacity for trickery and bloodshed. But as betrayal threatens to drown the Courts of Faerie in violence, Jude will need to risk her life in a dangerous alliance to save her sisters, and Faerie itself.
I hope everyone has a good rest of their week. Stay Warm!
P.S.- I did NOT update my Newsletter or Book Club yet. I promise I will get to it SOON!
