End of 2018… a Wonderful Year

Everyone wants to do a “New Year, New Me!” every year. Quite frankly, I don’t want this year to end. Yes, I have exciting things happening that are big things in 2019, but I am sad to see 2018 go.

Reasons why:

  • I started my blog this year. It has been the best decision I made in a while! I have grown with this blog personally and professionally.
  • I said YES to marry my best friend. He has become my rock, my biggest supporter, and my happiness and I can’t wait to marry him!

2019 Goals and Dreams:

  • I get to marry my best friend Eric on July 20th. I can’t wait to start our story together.
  • I need to get more organized and I am hoping my new planner will help with that. The books that I read, the reviews that I write, my favorite books, etc. I need to stay organized.
  • Getting in shape. This is everyone’s goal right? So cliche, but I need to get wedding and beach ready. Starting with changing my eating habits and walking more.
  • My Blog! I want to connect with more people and more authors about reading and writing.
  • Find our dream home!

What are your dreams and goals for 2019?

Now on to the book I recently finished and one I just started.

I finished up Bad Reputation by S.L. Scott and it was just the cutest. The men that were featured in the book were very respectful and caring, Ally (main character) was strong, independent, and fun! And the story line was just all around adorable. I have talked about this before but want to bring it up again (Taming Him by Kennedy Fox, I think). I love when you have a story that doesn’t have a crazy twist toward the end. Where the main characters are trying to find each other again to have a happily ever after. This story is fun and entertaining from beginning to end with the two main characters by each other side always supporting one another. I give this book a 4.5 out of 5 stars ONLY because it was easily to put down and get distracted with something else.

~~~Being Bad Never Felt So Good~~~
Being bad never felt so good.
I fell for Ally the moment I saw her. Who doesn’t like a confident, intelligent woman with curves I could spend days exploring?
Who am I kidding?
I have.
Many times.
Our story ended abruptly when she packed her bags and left like we weren’t meant to be. We are. So I’m calling her bluff. That’s how I ended up thousands of miles from home, standing next to a man who claims to be her fiancé.
Being good has never felt so bad.
When it comes to a successful man with an incredible body and biteable jaw aka Hutton . . . let’s just say willpower is not my strong suit.
Need more?
Try bad-boy American.
You’re welcome.
Embracing my newfound good girl status, I do the right thing to start my reign. My desires no longer matter. The monarchy, the people, and my country do. There is no place for love in this new life.
But I never expected to see him again, much less standing next to my royally appointed soon-to-be fiancé.
As if that didn’t complicate things, he’s wearing a perfectly tailored tuxedo and my favorite smirk. I straighten my crown and adjust my dress, realizing this good girl never stood a chance. I’ll take the bad reputation if I get him.
~Being Bad Never Felt So Good~
Bad Reputation was just released on December 7th. Go get your copy 🙂
Once I finished Bad Reputation, I immediately started reading Because You’re Mine by Claire Contreras and I can’t put it down. I am hoping to have this done either by today or tomorrow. I will add synopsis for you if you enjoy mafia family stories.
Image result for because you're mineThat cover is so sexy!
When you grow up in the most feared mafia family, it’s easy to identify the kind of men that are bad news.
They’re the ones with experience.
The ones with secrets.
The ones that exude sex just by saying your name.
From the minute I laid eyes on Lorenzo, I knew he wasn’t just bad news.
He was the headline.
My opinion didn’t change on our second meeting.
Or our third.
But my head and my heart are at war.
He’s too mysterious, too gorgeous, too wild, and now, he wants me.
I should run far away.
So why am I racing toward him?
I’m totally going to get burned.
I know it.
A man like Lorenzo won’t leave me unscathed.
He’ll make ashes of me.
I picked this book up late Saturday night and was immediately glued to it. This book has been keeping me intrigued with the main characters and the crazy story line. I usually don’t go toward a mafia family book but this one has trapped since page 1. Ill keep you updated when I finish.
Happy New Year’s Eve— Stay Safe!
