I was really hoping to write a blog yesterday and today but that didn’t happen. We had some things we needed to get done for the wedding. We went to get pictures for our passports. Then we took both of our mothers to our wedding venue for them to see it and to lunch. We are about six months away from the wedding so we are trying to get everything done. Engagement photos next weekend!!
Five things I want to chat with you about in this blog:
- Finished Say I’m Yours by Corinne Michaels
- Finished The Conspiracy by Kat Martin RELEASE DATE- 1/22/19
- Reading What He Doesn’t Know by Kandi Steiner
- Reading The Measure of Home by Krista Sandor RELEASE DATE- 1/15/19
- Book Outlet Purchase
I am always a fan of Corinne Michaels and her books. Say I’m Yours was a fun read. I would give the book 4.5 out of 5 stars only because I was hoping Gracie would actually try to give her heart to another man who would appreciate it more. But I guess when we give our heart away we don’t ever get it back. The heart wants what it wants.
Finished reading The Conspiracy by Kat Martin. It was sent to me by Harlequin Publicity Team and I couldn’t put it down. It was such a thriller romance and forgot how much I enjoy them. I will put out a review in the next week or two. The release date 1/22/19.
I started reading What He Doesn’t Know by Kandi Steiner and the first sentence had me captured. You don’t always read a story that is fifteen minutes from your hometown.
“On the northeast side of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania, there was a house.” Instantly I was intrigued to read more. So far so good!
Beautiful picture taken by me on a beautiful Sunday morning.
The house was once magical, filled with love and joy and plans for the future.
Inside its walls are many things that belong to me — my books, the china from my mother on my wedding day, the beautiful cage once home to two birds, now empty, just like me.
And a man.
A man who also belongs to me.
A man I no longer wish to keep.
A man who, no doubt, has not slept, though the sun is rising. Because the house where he waits is where I laid my head to rest every night for eight years. Until last night.
No one who knows me would believe Charlie Pierce, the quiet, bookish girl who never made waves is pulling out of the driveway of a man who isn’t her husband.
But they don’t know me at all.
I don’t even know me.
They say there are two sides to every story, and I suppose in most cases, that’s true. But the one I live inside of? It has three.
On the northeast side of town, there is a house.
But there is no longer a home.
The Measure of Home by Krista Sandor is released 1/15/19. The Langley Park Series is so fun to read. There is always a twist and turn that will keep you on the edge of your seat or wanting you to keep flipping to the next page. Check it out!!!
The Book Outlet purchase! I LOVE this website. I find great paperbacks for a really good price. Some of these books are purchased for only $0.99 cents. And ALL of these books were $6.00 and less. Some of these books I have read but wanted for my book collection (The Selection series). Jennifer Probst has become one of my top ten favorite authors so I had to purchase a few of her books. The paperbacks come in great shape. I haven’t had a problem with any of books from there. This website is NOT all Romance. They have all genres including children’s books. Check out the website at BookOutlet.com
Have a good week and bring on more snow! I want it for my engagement photos!
