Next time I blog, it will be in my new house and hopefully in my new Book Room. I keep telling Eric that I can’t wait to put it together and share with you all! He even bought me a beautiful yellow chair for it! AHH!!! Two more days!!!
Yesterday, I was not feeling well. I had a terrible headache and really laid in bed so Flirtation Friday was not posted. Sorry 😦
But good thing we still have today! Let’s roll with it here and call it… Love Story Saturday! I have so many picks for you however, I am going to go with…
Eleanor and Grey by Brittainy C. Cherry
Book was released on April 8th, 2019
Greyson East left his mark on me.
As the young girl who first fell for him, I didn’t know much about life. I did know about his smiles, though, and his laughs, and the strange way my stomach flipped when he was near.
Life was perfect…until it wasn’t, and when we were forced to go our separate ways, I held on to our memories, let go of my first crush, and wished for the day I’d find him again.
When my wish came true, it was nothing like I imagined.
I couldn’t have known when I took the nanny position that it would be his children I looked after, that my new boss would be that boy I used to know, that boy who was now a man—a cold, lonely, detached man.
The smile and laugh I had loved so much were gone, now distant memories. Every part of him was covered in a fresh pain.
When he realized who I was, he made me promise to do my job and my job only.
He made me promise not to try to get to know him, not to recall the memories I’d treasured all this time.
But, sometimes, I saw the boy I’d once known in his stormy eyes. I saw the Greyson who smiled and laughed, who had stolen a young girl’s heart, and there was no doubt in my mind that this boy was worth fighting for.
I was given a second chance with the one who’d left his mark on me. All I hoped was that somehow I’d leave a mark on his soul, too.
I have heard so many good things about this book and I am so happy I received it yesterday in the mail.
I am still currently reading Baby Mine by Kennedy Fox. It’s an ARC so I will post my full review on April 24th. It releases April 23rd. I finished Checkmate: This is War and will have a full review up for you as soon as I finish the second part in the duet- Checkmate: This is Love. The book left me with my mouth hanging wide open so I can’t wait to finish the second part of it.
One more thing before I go… Did anyone see the movie After?
If you aren’t sure of what After is.. let me explain. It is a book by Anna Todd. The book was published October 2014. I read this series probably 3-4 years ago and I LOVED it!
This is the cover when I read it.
Here is the whole series together.
Here is the book cover and movie cover for After.
- The book After is LONG. The book is very thick but it keeps you on your toes throughout the whole book.
- The series did drag on but overall.. it was still a good series.
- I think they picked a great Hardin in the movie- Hero Fiennes Tiffin. He was this arrogant, rude boy that fell in love with Tessa.
WOW! Meet Hardin 🙂
- Of course the book and movie are always totally different. I was hoping for this major heart break to happen but it was a different heart break in the movie. (Sorry, I don’t want to give anything away).
- My best friend Amanda came with me to watch it and never read the book. She loved it and thought Hardin and Tessa’s characters did a great job!
- I can sit here and go on and on about the book and movie. HOWEVER… just go read it (Kimberly.. this means you as well because I KNOW you read this book with me).
If you want to read this book.. check out Synopsis below!
Tessa is a good girl with a sweet, reliable boyfriend back home. She’s got direction, ambition, and a mother who’s intent on keeping her that way.
But she’s barely moved into her freshman dorm when she runs into Hardin. With his tousled brown hair, cocky British accent, tattoos, and lip ring, Hardin is cute and different from what she’s used to.
But he’s also rude—to the point of cruelty, even. For all his attitude, Tessa should hate Hardin. And she does—until she finds herself alone with him in his room. Something about his dark mood grabs her, and when they kiss it ignites within her a passion she’s never known before.
He’ll call her beautiful, then insist he isn’t the one for her and disappear again and again. Despite the reckless way he treats her, Tessa is compelled to dig deeper and find the real Hardin beneath all his lies. He pushes her away again and again, yet every time she pushes back, he only pulls her in deeper.
Tessa already has the perfect boyfriend. So why is she trying so hard to overcome her own hurt pride and Hardin’s prejudice about nice girls like her?
Unless…could this be love?
There was the time before Tessa met Hardin, and then there’s everything AFTER … Life will never be the same.
Love Story Saturday was delivered with not one but two GREAT LOVE STORIES! Enjoy it and Enjoy your Easter!
