I truly wondered when Saturday was going to get here. And friends, I am about to shock you….
I HAVE NOT FINISHED A BOOK THIS WEEK!!!
First, the weekend was so much fun but so busy. I was extremely exhausted that it floated into the work week for me. And I tried and tried to read. I just couldn’t keep my eyes open.
I am now sitting in my cozy home on this beautiful Saturday morning writing this blog and I can’t express how relaxing this is to me. Eric is in the kitchen putting together a big breakfast and for the first time since we bought this house… we are enjoying it together.
Now the weekend is here and I am ready to party. And by party… I mean read BOOKS!
What are you currently reading?
I am still reading Blood to Dust by LJ SHEN and it is very good. I am right smack dab in the middle of the book and it is starting to get heat up! LJ Shen ALWAYS throws some kind of crazy wrench in her books so I am curious to see how this book plays out.
My friend Caroline came over last week asking to borrow a book. She is not an active reader but wanted to start. So as an every day reader who keeps up with new releases and amazing romance authors, I had to stop and think… What will be the best book for her? What will get her to fall in love with books?
When I started reading, I fell in love with the Twilight Series. My friend Jackie recommended Gabriel’s Inferno by Sylvain Reynard. After that, I was a goner! I didn’t want to recommend the usual Fifty Shades of Grey (we all watched the movies). And I wanted to make sure I gave her something that will keep her reading.
So my Love Story Weekend recommendation for you is the same I gave my friend Caroline.
Love Story Weekend– Bared To You by Sylvia Day
Synopsis:
Gideon Cross came into my life like lightning in the darkness. He was beautiful and brilliant, jagged and white-hot. I was drawn to him as I’d never been to anything or anyone in my life. I craved his touch like a drug, even knowing it would weaken me. I was flawed and damaged, and he opened those cracks in me so easily.
Gideon “knew.” He had demons of his own. And we would become the mirrors that reflected each others most private wounds and desires.
The bonds of his love transformed me, even as I prayed that the torment of our pasts didn’t tear us apart.
I totally forgot how great this series! Now I hope Caroline loves this series as much as I did.
Before I end this blog, my group of friends came over last night. We explored my new house and had some drinks! One thing that I loved hearing was how AWESOME my Book Room is and how they need to borrow books for summer vacations. That is exactly my point of my Book Room. I want people to come over and borrow books! And hopefully one day open up my own Book Store!
