Best Laid Plans by LK Farlow

Happy Tuesday! We only have 1 more days left of school and I can’t wait for summer break!

Some exciting dates happening for me this summer:

  • Black and Gold Author Event June 8th- I seriously can’t wait for this event! I get to meet AMAZING authors; Adriane Leigh, BB Easton, Kennedy Fox, Jennifer L. Arementrout, and Emma Scott (just to name a few). I am taking my sister with me so expect a full blog up after this event!
  • New Kids on the Block June 23rd down at PPG Paints Arena with my best friend Toni Lynn. I have seen NKOTB twice now and they are seriously the BEST! So pumped for this concert!
  • My Wedding July 20th
  • Chris Stapelton August 9th at Starlake (I still call it that).
  • Bahamas and Aruba for our Honeymoon
  • We also go to the Farm throughout the summer.

Summer is my favorite time of the year. Do you have any big plans or book signings?

I just finished reading Best Laid Plans by LK Farlow and I LOVED it! It was just a fun read and it grabbed my attention the first few pages in the book.

One night of drinks which turns into a night that someone doesn’t remember. Which then turns into a big surprise nine months later. This story is filled with many heart breaking tears over the certain choices that were made. It is also filled with many smiles and laughter. You will fall in love with Natalie and Alden and their amazing story of second chance love.

If this is a certain type of trope you like to read then read this book! I can’t wait to read more from LK Farlow since this is the first book I have read from her.

Synopsis:

The summer before my senior year of high school I had only one goal: to make Alden Warner see me as more than his best friend’s annoying little sister.

Finally, my wish came true and he noticed me. In a big way. Too bad that the next morning he had no memory of our night together, leaving me heartbroken, and as I later discovered…pregnant.

For the last four years, I’ve been rocking the single mom thing, making sure my daughter comes first. In fact, everything is going fine—until Alden storms back into my life, as my new boss.

His reappearance wasn’t something I planned for. Add my nosy, meddlesome three-year-old and an overprotective brother, and I’m obviously in way over my head.

My only hope now is that I can sway Alden to see things my way…but you know what they say about the best laid plans…

Do you have a summer reading list ready? I have not sat down to put one together yet but I will.

Here is my current reading list that I have planned for this week and next:

  • Beautifully Broken Life by Catherine Cowles (ARC)
  • Just One of the Groomsmen by Cindi Madsen
  • Dead of Night (Thorne Hill Series) by Emily Goodwin

I am excited to read all three of these. However, I am switching it up with the last one a bit. Dead of Night is a vampire story that I can’t wait to sit down and read. What was your last vampire story? Of course, I loved Twilight and that whole series. It was a book that brought me back to reading again. So I am super excited to read this!

Synopsis:

Never trust a vampire.

I might have learned that lesson the hard way. But when I find myself in a vampire-owned bar, I don’t have much of a choice. With vampires still trying to assimilate into mainstream society, I’ve done Lucas King a favor by stopping one of his patrons from draining a human dry in the basement of his bar. A favor he’d prefer to repay in bed than in kind.

Vampires and witches have had more than a jaded history, and when witches start showing up dead in surrounding covens, all signs point to something old and powerful. Something that knows the ways of the witches.

Something–or someone–like Lucas.

What’s worse than trusting a vampire? Falling in love with one.

What is your favorite paranormal romance?

I am hoping to post one more blog before Saturday’s book signing. I can’t express how EXCITED I am to go. This is going to be an amazing event and I cant wait to meet these authors! Stay tuned my friends and keep on reading!

Always,

Kait
