Happy 4th of July

Happy Birthday America!

Today was such a fun day! We went to cookouts and even went shopping for our honeymoon. Here is a fun fact about me… I do not like fireworks much. I rather watch them on TV. The booms hurt my ears so I mostly avoid it at all costs. Do you have big plans for the Fourth of July?

I finished reading The Birthday List by Devney Perry and I am currently reading Letters to Molly which is the second book in the Maysen Jar series. The Birthday List was a book that I couldn’t put down and if I had to then I couldn’t wait to pick it back up again. Also, does anyone else want to open a restaurant that serves all different types of food in mason jars? I loved reading about what she was cooking or serving to Jimmy and Randall the best. Now the story was great. Cole was amazing who stayed by her side while she completed her dead husbands birthday list. There were things that Poppy had to overcome but she did, minute by minute. This book was steamy, heartbreaking, but filled with so much love and laughter. I give it a 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Poppy Maysen carries a journal in her purse. Its pages were filled long ago by a man who craved adventure, lived life to the fullest and never failed to make her laugh. The journal is his birthday list—one she vows to complete.

She’ll do the things he wanted to do most. Because maybe, just maybe, if she can finish his list, she can start to live again.

Poppy expects going through the birthday list will be hard. She expects it to hurt. But what she doesn’t expect is Cole. Could the man who watched her heart shatter be the one to put it back together again?

What are you currently reading? Is there a series that you are enjoying over summer? I would love to hear all about it!

I hope you have a great Independence Day and stay safe!
