My Happily Ever After

Welcome to my Happily Ever After story!

Today is Monday and rainy here in Pittsburgh. However, two days ago it was the hottest day of the year as we walked down the aisle to say “I DO.” We are finally winding down from the magical feeling of celebrating a wedding. Our wedding! Our Happily Ever After.

Before I tell you all about my best day ever, let’s discuss prior wedding bliss. Everyone tells you how stressed you can get when planning a wedding. That is ALL crap. Yes, there were times where it was overwhelming but planning your best day ever shouldn’t be stressful. It should be fun. Another word I would describe the wedding planning… easy! Believe it or not, everything came easily together for us. We also had the help from our family. With all the easy and fun planning we had, it ended up being our best day ever!

So if you are a bride out there reading this blog right now, do yourself a favor and take a step back. Don’t create a plan! Roll with the punches. There are going to be some blips along the way but walk right through it. Enjoy it! Have fun with it! And don’t let it stress you out because it IS the BEST DAY EVER!

Wedding Day

The day started off with mimosa’s, lots of coffee, hair and make-up, and tons of laughter. My mom and I both tried fake eye lashes for the first time. And I washed my hair in the morning when I wasn’t suppose to. But the morning with all the ladies and nieces went exactly planned. Except when my earring broke. Hey, it happens!

I wasn’t nervous until I finally put on my dress. Seeing myself with hair and make up done in this beautiful gown really sent butterflies to my stomach. I knew I was ready to marry the love of my life.

Eric and I decided to see each other before the ceremony. It made me relax. It was perfect. We took tons of pictures with our family and bridal party. Then we ALL were able to sit in the air condition, touch up our make up and hair, and have some drinks!

Ceremony was beautiful. I couldn’t have asked for anything more with the decorated gazebo and my brother-n-law officiating our ceremony. It was HOT but again… it was perfect!

The reception was… well it’s a PARTY! Everyone was smiling, laughing, drinking, and having a great time! We celebrated with the BEST, LOVING, AMAZING family and friends and we are so thankful for EVERYTHING!

Now our story begins!

Our day was very special and it will be a day I will remember for the rest of my life. It will be a story to tell to my children and my grandchildren.

To be continued…

Thank you for following along the past few months on our crazy wedding plans. Thank you for following this blog.
