Traveling Book Reviews #2

For all of my many readers out there wondering… I only read one book on my honeymoon in Aruba. Just One!

However, I did almost finish an ARC while I was on the plane. The flight was long so to keep my busy… I read! So two books.

I will get to both of those reviews in a minute.

Aruba was… WOW! The views were amazing and that water was so blue. We walked around Palm Beach, got dirty on an extreme tour of sight seeing, and climbed down a very steep ladder off a cliff to go swimming in a natural pool. Everything was perfect! I couldn’t have asked for a better two weeks vacation, spending it with my husband.

Thank you all for following along on my adventure of reading and wedding planning. Now it’s all over! What now? What would you like to read in my blog next?

Like I said earlier, I completed two books.. two AMAZING BOOKS!

Purple Orchids by Samantha Christy

You already know my love for Samantha Christy’s books and this one just makes me love her writing even more.

5 out of 5 stars!

This book is a second chance romance with so many twists and lies. And I hate that it took me so long to buy and  read this. (If you haven’t noticed, I am trying to read ALL of her books). Gavin and Baylor- I loved their story but hated what tore them apart. I also loved the back n forth from college days to present day. Overall it was an amazing book.

Synopsis:

A PIECE OF PAPER DESTROYED ME.

It was one day … one moment … one letter.
One lie.
That’s all it took to change the course of my life.

Now he’s back.
And he thinks I’m the one who broke him.

Someone is lying.

And it’s not me.
But it’s not him either.

We need to learn to trust again.

Sometimes, however, I think trust should be considered a four-letter word.

Truly Mine by Kennedy Fox

5 out of 5 stars

Again, Kennedy Fox doesn’t fail me! This book kept me on the edge of my airplane seat the whole time. I even had a major neck cramp because I couldn’t stop reading. This book was HOT from beginning to end. Mason and Sophie’s love is strong. So strong that it stands against the toughest life struggles to face. However, will their love be strong enough to face the darkest tragedies? Truly Mine is available now and I promise you… this story will have you biting off your fingernails it’s that good!

Synopsis:

𝑻𝑹𝑼𝑳𝒀 𝑴𝑰𝑵𝑬 𝒊𝒔 𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒔𝒕𝒚, 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘-𝒃𝒖𝒓𝒏 𝒇𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒓𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒘𝒓𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 𝒖𝒑 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚.

The night we met in the dimly lit bar, she looked like a brunette bombshell, and I wanted to learn her deepest secrets. With sun-kissed skin and soulful bedroom eyes, she was pure temptation, and I was mesmerized.

As one drink led to two, I craved more of her playful banter and taunting lips. Resisting her wasn’t an option, and we quickly became a desperate mess of tangled limbs and hot kisses. She tasted like the sweetest sin, but I was no saint.

Once we caught our breaths, and it became obvious that meeting her wasn’t a coincidence, everything changed. Now I must deny her at all costs.

𝐹𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑𝑠. It’s all we can ever be.

After years of lying to myself and keeping her at a distance, I want to pull her close. Sophie’s on my mind more than ever as my instincts to protect her take over. Regardless of my attempts to help, she pushes me away and makes it clear she doesn’t need me.

I’ll do whatever it takes to keep her safe, to show her I’m the good guy, but one night takes a tragic turn for the worse when her boyfriend and I start throwing punches.

Those are my two book reviews from vacation. I am happy to be home!

I am currently reading Love At First Sight by Kelly Elliott and I couldn’t wait for this book to be released this past week. Thankfully, I have an amazing husband who purchased it for me and had it delivered for when we returned from Aruba.
