What a fantastic weekend!! We had family and friends over for a Pumpkin Carving Contest. Then on Sunday, I celebrated my friends gender reveal party… IT’S A GIRL! Although the weekend was busy and fun, it helped with getting up on this work week. How was your weekend?
I know I have been slacking (BIG TIME) on sharing recommendations for the weekend for you. Apologies! More new changes are happening in my life and I am trying to find a balance. However, I am here today to deliver a great book that I just finished reading last night.
Beautifully Broken Spirit by Catherine Cowles
Release Date- October 22nd, 2019
This is the third book in the Sutter Lake Series and the third book that I have been waiting for. Jensen and Tuck needed their own story and their story was beautifully written. Read the first two books in the Sutter Lake Series- Beautifully Broken Pieces and Beautifully Broken Life to get a full background on Jensen and Tuck.
I might have cried a few times while reading this book because Catherine has a way ofor you to feel what the characters are feeling. And that is exactly what Jensen was feeling… pain, heartache, and guilt. Tuck is a big “behemoth” who thinks he can’t fall in love with anyone but deep down has the biggest heart in the world. And all he wants to do is protect Jensen.
Their story was GREAT from beginning to end. It was filled with suspense and a bit thriller that you had your mind spinning. It kept me wanting more and that is what I truly love in books. It was a book that I couldn’t and wouldn’t put down because it kept my imagination going. I truly love this series and each of the stories that Catherine writes. Definitely a 5 out of 5 stars!
She’s always been his safe place to land.
Jensen has shared a special bond with Tuck for as long as she can remember, their friendship a language that never needed words. But as life threw her one curveball after another, that secret language turned to stony silence.
He’s always been her protector.
Tuck has looked out for Jensen since the day she was born. As his best friend’s little sister, he’s tried to keep her firmly in the friend category. But she’s always been more.
All it takes is one moment of weakness to send Tuck’s fiercely guarded walls crumbling to the ground. As a new fire burns between them, someone watches. Someone who doesn’t like the new life Jensen’s building for herself.
And they’ll stop at nothing to keep her in the dark.
I really hope you enjoyed this review and I hope you read this series because it ROCKS!
Also, I am truly going to try and write a blog before the weekend happens.
Have a good week!
