Happy New Year’s Eve.. and a surprise!

Well my friends… the year 2019 is over and I am sad to see it go. We moved into our first house together, married (twice..yes I said twice), and traveled to Bahamas and Aruba. Now 2020 will bring us our healthy baby and many more wonderful memories.

Before we move on to the year 2020, let’s recap Christmas and the four books I received from my amazing husband.

Book 1: Regretting You by Colleen Hoover

Who is not a Colleen Hoover fan? All of her books always seem to amaze me because they are so deep. So this book.. I know will be just as good as the rest.

Morgan Grant and her sixteen-year-old daughter, Clara, would like nothing more than to be nothing alike.

Morgan is determined to prevent her daughter from making the same mistakes she did. By getting pregnant and married way too young, Morgan put her own dreams on hold. Clara doesn’t want to follow in her mother’s footsteps. Her predictable mother doesn’t have a spontaneous bone in her body.

With warring personalities and conflicting goals, Morgan and Clara find it increasingly difficult to coexist. The only person who can bring peace to the household is Chris—Morgan’s husband, Clara’s father, and the family anchor. But that peace is shattered when Chris is involved in a tragic and questionable accident. The heartbreaking and long-lasting consequences will reach far beyond just Morgan and Clara.

While struggling to rebuild everything that crashed around them, Morgan finds comfort in the last person she expects to, and Clara turns to the one boy she’s been forbidden to see. With each passing day, new secrets, resentment, and misunderstandings make mother and daughter fall further apart. So far apart, it might be impossible for them to ever fall back together.

Book 2:  Leave Me Breathless by Jodi Ellen Malpas

JEM always, always writes book on strong, protecting men! And her stories always, always has a great plot. I am currently reading this one now so check back in a few to see what I loved and didn’t love about it.

Ryan Willis has spent years in the protection business, a job that requires constant vigilance and quick thinking. His only chance to truly relax is at his secluded cabin in a small town where there are never any surprises. So when Ryan returns after an assignment and encounters a beautiful stranger, he isn’t only surprised, he’s also instantly intrigued.

Hannah Bright is a breath of fresh air, and Ryan is soon completely consumed, unable to stop from falling for her. As the two grow closer, his instinct tells him something is amiss. Yet nothing could prepare him for what he discovers when he starts digging into her past.

Hannah spends her days painting, running her arts and crafts store…and hiding too many secrets. It’s why she won’t let the ruggedly handsome bodyguard get too close. But their chemistry is undeniable, and Hannah quickly finds herself caught up in a whirlwind romance with Ryan. He is peace personified, a balm to her battered soul. Yet the gorgeous, captivating man who has swept Hannah off her feet doesn’t even know who she really is. And the moment he finds out, both their lives are at risk.

Book 3: White Lilie’s by Samantha Christy

Now you ALL know that I am a BIG Samantha Christy fan so my husband did GREAT on picking this book for me. I might have given him hints but he knows that I need to read more about the Mitchell Sisters. This is the second book in the series.

Her best friend’s husband.
A twist of fate.

They wanted her to have their baby.
She was never supposed to fall in love with him
… or was she?

A story about unconditional love, heartbreaking loss, and undying friendship.

Book 4: Shadows by Kristen Proby

As fast as I unwrapped this book is as fast as I read through it. This book was soooooo GOOD!! I like weird, fantasy, romance, witchy, and a little bit of horror. Mix that all together and you get Shadows. I seriously had to tell my husband to go check the house because I was freaking myself out when reading this. I felt like I was seeing things. (I may be a little dramatic about this) Anyways, this book was a 5 star read for me and I am super mad that the next book doesn’t come out until October 2020.

I am never alone. Not even when I am alone.
I see the unquiet dead, the souls that wander through the French Quarter.
They can’t move on, and I can’t stop seeing them.
I wear malachite for protection, and I control what I let in. It’s the only way to stay sane. Everything changes the day Cassian Winslow joins my ghost walking tour and knocks my world off its axis with green eyes the color of the stone around my neck.
An unspeakable evil is loose in New Orleans, taking young women and leaving a bloodbath in his wake. More shadows lurking for me. More unhappy dead. There might be a way to stop it.
Open myself up to Cassian.
If I do, it could spell his death.
But if I don’t, it’s mine.

Well those were my AWESOME books that I received for Christmas from my amazing husband.

Now you all ready for a surprise??

Meet Baby B!

We went to get a sonogram done because I am 19 weeks (5 months). During this sonogram, the nurse checks to make sure everything is growing the way it should be. Also, we get to find out the sex of the baby. Anyone want to take a guess if we are having a boy or a girl?

Well sorry to break everyone’s hearts but Eric and I decided from the beginning that we wanted to be surprised and will find out when we deliver.

Eric and I are both very excited to welcome our baby in four more months so stick around to hear about my pregnancy and even how the baby room is being designed. Can anyone figure out what the theme is going to be?

Bring on 2020!!
