Beautifully Broken Control by Catherine Cowles

Happy Hump Day!

Again, it is another cold day here in Pittsburgh. We did have our first big snow fall last Friday but, Monday’s rain has washed it away. Back to the mud!
I am in a reading slump! I just finished another GREAT book by Catherine Cowles and now I can’t find anything that I want to read. I am trying to read Abbi Glines new book- Charmed Souls. I’m reading it but it’s not something I am eager to go home to read. UGH! I am in a slump.
Well thank you Catherine Cowles for putting me in a reading slump because I LOVED Beautifully Broken Control. Not only is this my favorite cover, but might be my favorite book. (Honestly, it’s tied with Beautifully Broken Pieces). Now I am stuck on what to read next!
In Beautifully Broken Control you meet a beautiful girl name Kennedy. She has a past of secrets that haunt her. Cain is best friends with Walker and Tuck and he needs an escape so he heads back to Sutter Lake. There he meets Kennedy. There he breaks down her walls but he can’t seem to break his own. This story takes you to a place of where at times you have to let go of the past and look toward the future.
Catherine Cowles nailed it with this one. The story was captivating. The characters were so strong and capable but they needed each other to fight the past demons. This book is filled with so much romance and suspense that you just get sucked right in!

A woman trying to rebuild her life.

Kennedy is doing all she can to escape, to prove that she’s not the monster her father was. A simple life of peace and service is all she needs.

A man haunted by a past he can’t forget.

Cain has buried his demons under layers of control and success. The only thing he needs is his company and his solitude. Certainly not a woman with captivating green eyes filled with ghosts so similar to his own.

He’s a reminder of the life she’s left behind. And she’s a threat to his tightly guarded control. As sparks fly between them, they discover that what they might need most is each other.

But with pasts like theirs…you never know when darkness might descend.

Highly recommend this series! 5 out of 5 stars for all the books!
Now.. I don’t know what to read. (I know my husband is reading this right now thinking “She’s crazy! She has many books that she hasn’t read yet just sitting in her Book Room.”) Anyways… I have been trying to find Paranormal Romance. Does anyone have any recommendations?
Baby News Update: I have been battling a sore throat/chest cold. Not only have I not been sleeping well already, now I am pretty much coughing my way through the night.
Eric was non-stop yesterday and decided to build the stroller and car seat. Thank you to my mother-n-law and gram-n-law for buying us our car seat/stroller combo. It is perfect!
We are still working on a few odds and ends in the baby room but pretty much everything is coming together. Eric is now working on his man cave/family room in the basement.
And of course the baby names.. I am sorry for leaving you guys with waiting on yet another fun surprise! I promise it will be all worth it in the end. In just a few months, you will get to learn the gender of the baby and it’s name! So exciting!
Help a girl out and send me book recommendations. Ill take ANYTHING!
