I didn’t plan on April 4th to wake up and write a blog. No! My plan for yesterday was to pamper myself with a pregnancy back massage and get my nails and toe nails painted. And right now, I should be getting my hair curled by my hair stylist at Mirormax Salon. Then put on a beautiful dress and enjoy a fun brunch with my closest family and friends and experience having a baby shower.
Clearly, we can’t have a baby shower because of COVID-19. And it’s a total bummer.
However… here is my new Saturday Bliss!
I am healthy! And I am blessed! I have amazing family and friends that have been sending me gifts these past few weeks. I have been getting emails, phone calls, and texts letting me know they are thinking of me and the baby. THANK YOU! Thank you from the bottom of my heart that even though we are all going through missed birthdays, missed baby showers, and even lost jobs. You are still thinking of US! Our baby is truly blessed with all this CARE and LOVE. Again, thank you.
A few gifts that friends have dropped off! Again, it means the world to me and thank you so much!
Okay, Okay.. let’s put the tissues away.
I finished up Kiss Me with Lies my SM Soto which is the first book in the Twin Lies series. The second book Bury Me with Lies will release on April 6th.
Kiss Me with Lies
Review: 4 out of 5 Stars
I love the story line of this book and all the thrills and mystery that is going into it. However, only reason why I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars is because I feel like it has taken a very long to go more in depth of what happened to her sister.
Baz and Mackenzie/Scarlett has me feeling HOT! And I truly hope that Baz becomes a hero! But we shall see in the second book- Bury Me with Lies.
Two sisters. One unsolved murder. A sickening plot for revenge.
When Mackenzie Wright attends her first real high school party, held somewhere deep in the woods of her small California town, no one expects to wake up the next morning to news of a gruesome murder. Especially not her own sister’s.
Just one unsolved murder and whatever’s left of the now deserted town.
Mackenzie has spent years with her sister’s death weighing heavily on her shoulders, but it isn’t until she stumbles across a photograph that changes everything for her. The memories, everything from that night, come flashing back in high-speed technicolor and Mackenzie soon finds herself obsessed with the truth.
Determined to find out what really happened to her sister, Mackenzie relies on that one photograph to give her the answers she needs by embedding herself into the lives of five of the wealthiest men in Los Angeles. Consumed by her need for revenge, Mackenzie infiltrates the world of the rich and elite, only to come face-to-face with an alluring complication in the form an elusive playboy.
When enemy lines are drawn, Mackenzie has to choose between her loyalty to her sister and the man who has stolen her heart.
I will also start reading Southern Comfort by Natasha Madison which I am so excited for. The first book- Southern Chance was so good! I am so curious as to what this book is going to be like because the first one was very emotional.
I hope everyone is staying safe. And fingers crossed that this is almost over. I miss seeing all my family and friends!
