Let’s Have a Love Story Weekend

Happy Friday Everyone!

I wanted to bring back Love Story Weekend for this weekend because I think we all need some LOVE! I recently finished off a two book series that I want to share with you. However, if you have been following my last few blogs then you know what I am bringing you today.

Book 1:

Kiss Me With Lies by SM Soto

Kiss Me With Lies (Twin Lies, #1) by S.M. Soto

Book # 2:

Bury Me With Lies by SM Soto

Bury Me with Lies (Twin Lies Duet Book 2) - Kindle edition by Soto ...

I give these books a combined total of 8 out of 10 stars (4 for each book). I LOVED where SM Soto was going with this story but at times felt like she was dragging it on. I was getting frustrated with the main character- McKenize and I just wanted her to be honest! I see why she wasn’t but it was still driving me crazy. Sebastian had a big heart hidden underneath that ring leader status. However, I always thought if McKenzie told the truth then he would understand.

Anyways, the story line is GREAT! I loved the suspense/thriller of both stories. And of course the ending! I never thought the ending would have happened like that.

Check these books out for the weekend!

Reading Update:

Eric put a hold on my Kindle purchases. I received many ARCs (which are free) but once I finish that book then I will order another off the Kindle. Eric put a stop to that! I had to go find a book in my Book Room that I haven’t read yet and read one of them. (FYI- I am patiently waiting for a book from Amazon that I can’t wait to dive into)

From Here To You by Jamie McGuire

From Here to You (Crash and Burn Book 1) - Kindle edition by Jamie ...

Synopsis:

As Darby Dixon sits in a tiny Texas church bathroom on her wedding day holding a positive pregnancy test, she realizes that of all the bad decisions she’s made in her life, marrying her abusive fiancé would be the worst. She’s never been able to stand up for herself, but she’ll sure as hell stand up for her baby. With just the cash she has on hand, she runs to get a bus ticket to the farthest place she can afford. Between her sheer grit and pageant-queen smile, she lands a job as a front desk clerk at the Colorado Springs Hotel. It’s not a glamorous life, but she and her baby are all that matters.

A former Marine, Scott “Trex” Trexler has worked in the most dangerous, corrupt, war-torn places on earth. Now he finally has a chance to return to the last place he’d felt at peace–Colorado Springs, Colorado, to take a new job with the Cheyenne Mountain Complex, a top-secret military installation buried deep within the granite.

The moment Trex walks into the inn, Darby knows he’s dangerous. There’s no way she wants to get involved with another man who seems to be keeping way too many secrets. As charming and devastatingly gorgeous as Trex is, he clearly isn’t telling her everything. But as wildfires rage on the mountain and Darby’s ex-fiancé shows he isn’t so willing to let her go, both she and Trex are soon to find out that what you don’t know absolutely can hurt you.

I hope everyone has a great Easter weekend!

Always,

Kait
